Choosing a tile hatch
It is preferable to choose the hatch according to the size of the whole tile, so that you do not have to cut the facing material and the revision opening was inconspicuous.
To choose the size of the hatch under the tiles, make your own calculation:
- Decide on the location and approximate size of the revision opening;
- Measure the height and width of the tiles;
- Calculate how many tiles vertically and horizontally you need to place to completely cover the opening;
- Multiply the number of tiles arranged horizontally by the width of the tiles – this is the width of the hatchway;
- Multiply the number of tiles arranged vertically by the tile height – this is the height of the hatchway.
On the hinge side, the glued tiles may protrude a maximum of 50 mm beyond the door dimensions. On the other sides – no more than 1/3 of its width and height, not exceeding 70 mm.
